The First United Methodist Church of Warsaw Preschool
The First United Methodist Church of Warsaw Preschool Board and staff believe a program that provides an environment of Christian nurture and love for young children and their families is vital. Children will be offered a developmentally appropriate curriculum in order for them to be ready to learn once they enter kindergarten. It is of utmost importance that young children be granted positive learning opportunities and social interaction so that their school careers are off to a good start.
Our teachers, Cindy Miller and Warna Solari, have over 50 years experience working with children. They focus on helping parents prepare their children for kindergarten by teaching and modeling respect, kindness, honesty, helpfulness, and humor, along with classroom skills; introducing early literacy and math skills, practicing fine and gross motor skills through song, arts, crafts, and free and guided play. Imagination, creativity, coloring inside AND outside the lines are highly valued at our preschool.
Those children who are three or four by August 1st and are potty trained, may register in our program. Classes are offered in the mornings from 8-11 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We would like to do an afternoon class from 1-3 p.m. if we had enough interest. Tuition is $115 for a church member and $120 for a non-church member per month with a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
SCHOOL CALENDAR POLICY
The First United Methodist Church of Warsaw Pre-Kindergarten will follow the Warsaw R-IX School District schedule, only on the days of holidays and snow days. We do make up our own snow days and we do not take off for their Professional Development days.
There will be one field trip scheduled in the spring. There will also be occasional trips to various local destinations such as the library and visitor’s center. Parents, grandparents and/or legal guardians are invited to accompany the class on field trips. Please let the teacher know if you are available to assist.
Parents are an integral part of our program. We ask for parent volunteers to help supervise field trips, provide for special parties and other planned experiences. We enjoy having parents involved!
